Any ideas on getting an old Solo to unlock? Digital key doesn't seem to do the trick. Really hate to send it off...

Nothing you can do. You can't even send it off anywhere. It was made by Cincinnati Microwave who is now bankrupt, and their assets were sold to Escort Inc. Escort Inc trashed the equipment needed to unlock these.Originally Posted by dawgfan

Anyone tinker with these? Got any suggestions?

Upon screwing around with the Solo, it seems to have "unlocked" but not via the published method. It has a steady red light rather than the green staying lit and is constantly "chirping" with some static. Not really a clean chirp, but kind of raspy with a buzz in the background. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
Different detector, same key system...Originally Posted by dawgfan

If it's old, there's probably dirt or oxidation on the key jack in the detector. Fussing with it got it to make contact so it unlocked.
