    You have the same rd, veil, and laser shield I have. With your car (White and chrome grille), I don't think it matters if you have a high or middle mount. Figuring that the top of your license plate is more than 9 inches lower than the middle of your windscreen, only mounting on the dash (above the wipers) might give you some Laser warning.

    No matter where I've mounted my x50, radar warnings have been more than adequate. I've resided to turn off laser detection and get an AL g8 for laser protection. I hope to order it today.

    I drive a Chevy 2500 4x4 and have my x50 mounted where the display hangs just below the bottom edge of the RVM. Radar detection is phenominal and I have been alerted of laser every time I have been targetted and even got scatter once. From what I read though, that is not typical performance. LEO's here use LTI Ultralite's I dont know if that makes a big difference or not.
