today coming to work on i10 near beaumont, tx, i was doing around 80 or 85 when i noticed a suburban about half a mile ahead parked on the side of the road.
my x50 was silent.
getting closer, i could tell it was an unmarked sheriff's cruiser.
my x50 was silent.
it was obviously there for traffic, why else would an unmarked sheriff's cruiser sit on the side of the interstate?
my x50 was silent as i passed.
about 5 to 10 seconds after i passed, my x50 alerted to K band, obviously catching his radar from the rear.
any explanation for this? did my x50 fail me, or was he really just not using his radar that much?
the only explanation i can think is that he was using instant on K band and being VERY selective to who he was clocking, as I had no warning prior to seeing him and it didn't alert until i had passed.
please entertain me with your thoughts.
