Did I make a good choice???

As some of you may know, last night, while hardwiring my Bel V995, some how it was fried...and would not come on at all. So I called CC, only to find out that they had no more in stock, and they could not tell me when they would get more(at least five days). So I returned the unit, and got my money back and went to best buy, and picked up the X50. My question to all of you is based on your experiences, did I make the right choice?? please let me know what you think

Performance between the two should be similar. As for features, personally I much prefer the gradient audio on the X50 to the Beltronics audio. I also like the "real" volume wheel on the X50. So IMHO you made a good choice...

FULLY AGREE 100%......good choice on the X50, you wont be disapointed, I mean youve got a TOP 3 unit, be proud of it......if you have the money, USE IT on something that will help you better.....and you did, good choice

and Im with Jim the Audio on Bel units SUCK, I prefer my X50 audio or V1 audio any day...and there are definately more and/or better features on the X50 over ANY OTHER Bel with text displays

Another thing youll like on the X50 that isnt on the V995... The Expert Meter, that thing ROCKS, competes with the V1 Boger Counter any day....although the arrows would be cool, and so would the Dual Antennas...but whatever I love my X50 and nothing can change that

just dont listen to 90% of what the V1 users say about belscort and you should be set. There are issues with every detector but dont let the zombies make you feel like you made the wrong buy. X50 is a great detector and has served me very well. Listen to Roy's reviews he loves the thing and I would consider him a pretty good source.

I dont know why people cant get it into theire heads, the x50 is a great detector. Other than the arrows(which are great but not needed) they are very similar RD's(range wise). From what I hear the x50 is quieter in the city than the V1 which I dont see. My V1 is very quiet but if it was a false whore I dont think i could stand it. There are certain "zombies" out there that think everything else is cobra material compared to the V1, just smile and nod, they should leave.

I hate V1 zombies too, My X50 is just as good as a V1 in many respects, they just dont realize all they can think of is the Arrows and the Bogey counter (I have a BETTER boegy counter) and my BRAIN fills in as the arrows when I need it to, which half the time it doesnt matter.the only thing I wish I had from the V1 is the Dual Reciever layout, thats it
