My X50 is running a 2 AMP fuse off of the ESCORT direct Hardwire kit so id stick with that

Be careful doing this, as the wires are very close together, and it is quite easy to touch your test leads together, and this WILL fry your smartcord. I speak from experience

Same here. I did the same thing trying to test the pinout on my smartcord. Unfortunately, the smartcord's fuse is tiny and soldered to the circuit board. Very difficult to replace.
