    Default X50 Hardwire, Lots-o-pics (56K NO WAY)

Hey guys, since ive been bothering all of you the last few days with hardwireing questions, i thought id post the pics of what i came up with.

The car is my 1998 Infiniti I30, auto, VQ series V6, and so on and so on.

First off, heres just a shot of the car (dirty, but you get the idea)

Heres a frontal picture, still not sure whethere i like these fogs or not...

Heres looking in from the outside...

    Heres inside on and off

Then i decided that i needed a switch, and that i hated the dash pocket below my Apine headunit, so i made a fill panel with some ABS plastic. and added 3 switches

The Middle (red) is for the radar detector, the far right (green) is for the fog lights, and the far left (blue) is for the blue fire department light.

The Fogs and the X50 are switched with the ignition, the blue light can stay on.

    Heres some pics of that:

    All off:

    Radar on:

    All on:

    Blue FD light on:

Anyway thats my install, hope its up to par, and actually with your guys help, and but for a few mistakes of my own, it wasnt too hard at all.

    Thanks for looking

Nice install. I like the thing that you did with the switches. Very clean. It's always nice to see pics of a clean install, instead of pics with power cords hanging all over the place.

Nice install! You should blur out your license plate #'s on the front pic.

yea, you got it on the first try, CDA-9830, got it cheap from crutchfeild, my only complaints are poor visibility in the sun, and the Ipod interface could be better, but its better than an I-Trip or any of the other FM transmitter...nice eye for alipines man.

Yea, thats a 1992 Allanté, again good eye, it borrows the X50 on nice days when i take it out.

Thanks to all, and one question, i dont mind blurring out the plate, but isnt it public record anyways, not sure how it can hurt me but ill change it anyways, just curious.

    Thanks

Thanks...Car audio is one of my more knowledgeable fields and I ONLY use Alpine for stuff like this so really its kinda my specialty in that field (I can ID most of the ones made after 03 just by looking into a car through the window, or atleast classify the series they fall into, they HAVE to be on so that I can diferentiate between individual models), like Escort is for RDs in my daily experience

and as for the stuff you mentioned........I like the 30 series because its bacically Built around the volume knob, quick and easy control

and then the Ipod....im not a big fan of that stuff either way.........thats why I have my trusty CHA-S634 MP3 CD Changer..........CRYSTAL CLEAR audio quality (Because according to Crutchfield, the S634 uses the same internal processors as Alpine's DVD players   ......certainly explains why I paid 300 bucks for it)........full control at my fingertips, no wires or any of that BS to fumble with, and if im using CDs at full capacity filling the mag, and including the one disc in the deck, thats almost 5GB of music (4.9GB to be exact).....so no real need for all that stuff, as for on the go, ive got my tiny Sony 1G MP3 player and it works for me

I know... the 2006 model line just SUCKS, Either they were trying to lower the cost of units, or their idea of improvement is skewed..........I personally would rather pay more for a GOOD unit NOW so I dont have to worry about missing out on some things later.........unless they make a comeback on the 07 model line I think ill move on to Pioneer or something.....likeeven the ACCESORIES for my 05 model deck are discontinued, everything is moving to support the new line of S**T theyve got out now

    Thanks
That's a NY plate, as per RD issue you have NOTHING to worry about by showing the front licence plate in this forum, only people from VA, DC and all Eastern Canada provinces should (must) stay away from being so openly honest...
BTW, what you've done is really, really, really a professional job, two thumbs up for all the work and end-result 8) 8) 8) Congratulations

The only thing I don't understand is the blue FD light, by the stereo and by the rear view mirror, are you a firefighter and that's the way you tell everybody on the road that u're on emergency duty, cause this is your private car and obviously nobody knows what u're doing in real life...
