he he rising storm.
i dont know what was bs other than the miss piggy coment?
your Friend Mr Zombie King
Like Arashi said, if you dont want it anymore then reset it, put it back in its case buy some shrinkwrap and say its new in box on ebay, why waste the money fixing it if you arent going to keep it.
Then go buy a shiny new V1 and go over to their forum and b*tch some more about how you miss your x50 when you realize your Ka band range sucks and you get E displays...
There's your answer
Thank you.Originally Posted by Arashi666

I understand your opinion. Not that I asked for it in regards to what you were speaking about (thanks for finally answering). It's my opinion to ditch the escort and get something that will work longer before messing up. Makes sense right? I'd rather spend $400 (I'm sure I can find one for a little less than that) than keep spending money and time having the x50 fixed. I'm not trying to justify anything to you, but isn't that understandable?
I'm no expert so I can't say firsthand but these guys say the V1 has same range as old 8500 and better than x50.Originally Posted by TheTexan

And I guess I take a chance getting an E. But from what I've seen in person and on here, problems are less with it than the escort. With anything you buy you take chances. That's the way it is. You don't have to like it. You don't have to agree with it. I don't know why you feel the need to be angry about me trying a different detector. If it angers you so much, feel free to buy my escort. $300 sounds bout right cuz it's a great detector and can't be beat.
true but the GOL test you referrence was with the older 3.826 rev not the newest 3.85** that people have been having problems with. he 3.826 barring a few J problems is an awesome detector which you will note from my first post in this topic (maybe second) that if you can find a 3.826 it would serve you well. It had excelent range etc... But you are talking about getting a new unit and if you note from the message board a lot of the people who either upgraded their 3.826 to 3.851-2-3-4 what have you, are getting a lot of problems. That was what everyone was trying to tell you. VR has an excellent track record for reliability and customer service but they are doing some new stuff that, frm what I have read, is not so hot.
Sorry I came across as mad, I wasn't. This is a discussion forum and I was trying to bring to light some of the other issues before you threw down some hard earned cash only to turn around and be dissapointed again. Good luck with your V1 and good luck selling the x50, I say dont fix it and save the money for your new detector whatever it may be.
or you can get the rx65 since it's cheaper than v1 and has probably the best Ka range according to GOL last shootout (jan. 06)
see thats the thing the Bels took 33.8, the V1 took 34.7, and the Escort took 35.5, so its all pretty well balancedOriginally Posted by WRC

RX65 walked away with 33.8Originally Posted by carbonhed

STI and X50 essentialy tied on 35.5 (30ft) V1 trailed by about 200ft
