Escort Solo 2

I’m not sure if this is a repost since I couldn’t find anything in the search so my apologies if it is...I was wondering what everyone’s opinion is on the Escort Solo 2 before I invest my cash into one. I have a few questions for all the people that know more about it than I.
Should I wait for a better cordless model that will be coming out shortly?
Is it upgradeable?
Since it is cordless does it dramatically affect the range or just a little bit?

Any help would be great....Thanks!

I don't believe that it can pick up any POP radar because cordless models turn themselves off to conserve power. I have never heard of anybody upgrading a cordless detector in my entire life so I would say no upgrades are available. I wouldn't buy a cordless model because I hate batteries to change and don't want to sacrifice any performance. If you are looking for cordless, try hardwiring one of the top 3 (V1, Rx65, X50) and that gets rid of that problem. The Solo 2 is the best cordless radar detector you can buy if that is what you want.

Do not go cordless unless that is the only option...For the price of the Solo 2 you can have one of the best corded detectors (Escort 8500 X50 or BEL RX65)
