I dont really know much about the settings and was wondering if somebody could let me know if I could turn any bands off to reduce false alerts? That'd be great. Thanks guys.

not entirely true. i used to have an X50 and loved it, its still a great detector and at times, i wish i still had it, i just like the V1 better for where i drive. welocme to the man, drive safe 8) .

EXP mode is great and i wanted to try standard mode because i loved my old v940 looks. so anyways i come to the only spot i know of that will give my X50 a legitimate K band false and i waited sitting in the parking lot aiming down the road. Well anyways after 5 mins with the K band on full alert in swithces to a 1 bar Ka signal. i was testing this to make sure Belscort has a good threat determince system, and they do. Im glad that any Ka signal is higher a threat then a full K, which is used very often were i live and travel to.

I only tend to speed at about 10 over, but the police in my area are very persistent. I got it new for about 195 and that was with tax included. I dont think my car can even go 100 over the limit . So far it has had quite a few falses but picked up a police officer doing radar while i was dricing to school from about a quarter mile away. working great so far.

I would recommend that you leave all bands on since your state uses them all. Also, use expert mode on the x50. Trust me you'll get an advantage if they try to use more than one Radar source. Hope this helps[/b]
X2 and dont forget the scanning dot or for "Arashi" the scanning plus sign

That was uncalled for

plenty of people like the Plus sign, youre just in denial, you dot lover

Why don't we just make another useless poll and settle it once and for all.

--- Congrats on the x50. Enjoy.
