    Default Need a break???

Okay now I know this might sound silly but hear me out first. This morning when I got in my truck I realized I left my X50 plugged in no biggie. But as I was on my way into work I noticed, I didnt get the usual K false that I ALWAYS get when passing the supermarket. Is it possible that when the RD has been on for extended periods of time the sensitivity goes down?

I wouldn't think so, I know people who have drove with there RD's on non-stop on for over 20hours, and it worked fine the whole time.

Now I see you live in Las Vegas... so depending on how warm it is down there, that could cause an issue with the X50 just leaving it baking in the sun. Without any Self-Cals or Service-Req's I wouldnt worry about it though

I do live in Las Vegas this is true. However my truck is garage kept, and if its not in the garage my X50 is taken down but in its hard case and locked in a compartment under my rear seat. Not to mention it was 58 degrees this morning. In addition when I noticed it didnt alert on the usual K, I felt it to see if it was hot/warm. It felt cool to the touch.

Again then... without any self-cals or service req's I wouldnt worry about it (just yet), numerous things could cause no alert to a normal false.

or you can try resetting it. Hold down all 3 buttons while you turn the unit it on, and it should display the rev number.

this will erase your settings, but it shouldnt take too long to set them back up.

I wired my SR7 to stay on all the time. Even if the cars shut off.

I don't know about your false, but I've had the opportunity to sit in front of my local CVS and watch the door openers.

When the doors are closed I get my usual K band false which I pick up every day. But as soon as the doors open, the Kband stops until the door closes again. My guess is the door sensor is shut-off while the door is open.

If its the same mechanism, then perhaps someone was in the doorway when you drove by?

Silverado, try reseting the X50. I feel this is a good habit of getting into at least once a week/ two weeks. Then go thru and readjust all of your preferences on your X50.
