so what do the x50 users make of the new gol test

honestly we need a test in Texas, and ill bring my X50 and i gaurantee MINE at least could put up with a V1. The problem with these test are the manufacture differences in each is so great. What we need is ONE MASSIVE test in the largest state of TEXAS on the Best roads to test with roughly 6 of each detector with 2 of each revision from that. IM GAME

I guarantee that V1 has the least manufacturer differences compared to the Belscorts which are more mass produced. I believe the test is an accurate indicator of radar sensitivity and that the V1 will beat the Belscorts the majority of the time from front direction and every time from rear detection.

From a manufacturing variance stand point this has been my experience as well. When Belescort products perform like they are supposed to, they ROCK!

Why do you not send us yours for our next test? My wife's old blue X50 Rev 5 was an awesome performer as well. To this day I regret ever selling it not because I dont like the V1 but because she *****es at me to this day for getting rid of it.

Mine is a rev 5 and you just let me know and ill send it to you guys. maybe ill just drive up for the test o and i also might be able to get my hands on a ultralyte III i believe it is.

Sounds good. You coming down is even better so we can have more outside witnesses to see that we perform our tests honestly

O i know you guys do them honestly, I just think it would be fun what we really need is to plan a Huge RD test that consist of several days with several variables.....THE ULTIMATE TEST

I agree with most of the posts here...... All in all I think the only reason why the Belcorts didn't proform as well on these test is because of their filtering ability. I mean Yes the V1 did an outstanding job but look at how much it falses. The V1 will bark at anything. I like the V1 don't get me wrong, I just know it's def more sensitive. However with my X50, I feel I get the best of both worlds. That is, Top level detection and outstanding filtering. To sum it up, I would be gratefull to have either one in my car both are top proformers.

I can say that the V1 does better than the X50 as far as sensitivity goes after using both at the same time for a good 3-4 months. But it's only a couple seconds at long range. One thing that the X50 is not good at is instant on when radar is truned on and off in a fraction of a second. The X50 is silent but the V1 picks it up. In this situation LEO has to be close enough and you should have visually ID'ed it already unless you are in a curve or over he hill.

This is mainly what they(belscort) did it for. Not too sensitive to cause false alerts but yet excellent enough to have time to slow down. I don't understand why other X50 owners be offended by the results of the "GOL" test. It just shows that owners who get offended by it just simply don't know how to use it. It's just like a novice golfer with the best/expensive equipment yet beaten by a pro golfer using the worse/cheapest equipment. My X50 has serve me well over the last 18 months and use it 90% of the time over my V1.
