I have been told that City only lowers the sensitivity of X band on the x50. Escort told me this directly and a number of forum members have agreed as well. However, I have noticed K falses go down while in city.... So, I can only let you know that Escort stated only X band is affected.Originally Posted by Toronto-radar-chopper

from my experience escort is right, it only affects x-band
That's very ironic, I have the same situation.... infact it's a hospital as well that sets off my K alert in city and Highway. Auto does the same as well, it supresses the alert til I'm much closer..... hummm..... very interesting.
K band sensitivity is lowered in City mode on my X50. Escort says that only X band is affected but in my experience that's not true. BTW, I run City NoX but K sensitivity seems to be the same regardless of which City mode is used.
Possibly revision difference? I'll be doing some testing including a 6.1 X50 in a controlled environment soon, i'll try to get a definitive answer for you guys.

Video's up. Looks like on the 6.1 it does make a difference...
i have rev 6.1 and i get slightly better k-band range in highway
