    sorry man i thought i just couldnt post the ebay links... anyway yeah he is stuck with it now... he says he'll just re-ebay it and buy a legit one. i wish he would have listened... i just cant believe how shoddy this guy was at removing the numbers and replacing with a reg printed label on the back i have some pics ill upload them soon...just wow.. the unit appears to work fine but he fears the dreaded serv req message

    yeah, that definitely sucks.

    it's a crapshoot on ebay, since there are NO authorized dealers.

    you have to hope the detector will work well, since they are usually repaired rejects.

    and if you buy from an individual, you have to hope they aren't selling for that reason, that it has problems. :?

    Hope he used a CC to pay for it.. do a chargeback

    he did but through paypal. he called his cc company and they said since he recieved the item.. he cant do anything about it...??

    This is not a problem. Simple do a paypal chargeback for FRAUD. Paypal will rule in the favor of the buyer. Worst case scenario you can threaten the seller you'll report him to the authorities for this fraud.

    Always use paypal.

    Yeah go through paypay, they'll help you out. I've had to threaten people before and then when you hit them with the im putting in a complaint with paypal then the sellers always start talk comply or workthings out. Go through paypal I can almost promise you'll get your money back

    okay he got on the sellers case... i told him to contact paypal.. the seller said to send it back and hell refund him minus the shipping which kinda sucks since the shipping was like 25$ or something stupid...
