    Default Sensitivity regarding falses

I just started using my new X50 last night. I have not had any LEO encounters yet, but I have driven past a couple falses, a store with automatic doors and a construction sign. I was not warned until I was on top of these falses. Now I vaguely remember someone else posting a thread similar to mine, some time ago. My question is, are falses that weak that you won't detect them until you are right on top of them, or should your detector be picking them up from further away? I'm certainly hoping for the former.

this could be wrong but my understanding was that the automatic doors being smaller and less powerful would in turn produce a weakened somewhat "muddy" signal.

on my route, my falses tend to start small and then the unit goes back to auto and then ramps up again.... all of my real radar encounters have started small and then ramped full strength as i got closer to the cop, a real radar threat, at least in my expierence has acted much different than thd aauto doors and other falses.

as with range, i usually hit falses at exactly the same spot each day and usually i'm close to them and in relatively direct line of sight.
my real radar warnings were much farther away and out of sight and acted differentley from the falses....

    hope that helps somewhat....

Usually, falses alert when you are right on top of them. Imagine if you could detect falses the same distance as a real threat. A RD would pretty much be useless. :? Police guns are more powerful, therefore you can detect them from farther away.
