this is my last x-50 story

To make a long story short, I went back and got the x-50 6.1 back that i returned an hour afterwards...

So the lenses had been skuffed after all the hub bub....

I take it upon myself to go to another best buy to exchange it for a new x-50 in the box

I ask the employee to let me look thru the boxes of x-50's
Holy cow, a x-50 without the fcc id on the box....I KNEW IT WAS A VERSION 5...
The box looked good with slight wear on it but wrapped up like new when opened..

Let me just say my other post about the rev 5 and rev 6.1 is there any differences?
JUST TO NAME A FEW::::::::::
It must be 2 times more sensitive than 6.1 I cant shut it up and I get tons of multi signals on the 5 ....I got a double reading maybe three times on the 6.1 ....The volt meter reads quicker....The program mode scrolls slower I dont know what this is about but its different....Sound is louder and better...The smart cord blue light is brighter. From what I can tell now, the 5 is worth 350...thanx

wow!!!.... I wouldn't of thought the rev 5 package and rev 6.1 package would come with different smartcords.. I feel so gypped not getting the rev 5 smartcord... :twisted:

I would never buy, as new, an old unit packaged and sold as new. That's like buying a new car from a dealer and it's actually an 05.

I have to agree with Joe on this one............... while I do enjoy my Rev 5 and think its just awesome in its capabilities and stability (No self cals after a year)...........

I must agree with Audi, it takes a LOT more than an hour to start noticing differences, the smart cord thing is just how it happened, there is no manufactured difference between the ones packed with R5s and R6.1s, and the loudness thing, that happens too, like my old Red that I had before exchanging it for the Blue I have now, was indeed a bit louder than this one, but it really doesnt matter, because thats what the LOUD tones are for

Try looking at the pics of the inside of a rev 5 and a rev 6.1...hella difference.

Ok i KNOW everyone is thinking it, but now im going to say it. Doug STOP LYING, i gaurente that even the best radar fanatic like Pro Jim couldnt determine the differences between all that in a hour. Did you use a stopwatch and time yourself, Did the rev 5 smartcord happen to come with a hammer, because if it did i suggest you use it....on yourself. Sorry if this is Harsh but i know im not the only one sick of this guy.
