just purchased The 8500 X50 Red

I dont think anyone mentioned this, but from your pictures it looks like your x50 is pointed up at the sky. If it is you should mount it low enough on the windsheild so that you can make sure it is level with the road. Its hard to do with the added length of the x50 and you often come into clearance issues with the headliner, but you will lose a lot of performance having it pointed up like it appears to be in your pics.

eh yea i have moved it to the left side and moved it pointing strait and a bit at a angle. i will fine tune it after i do my hardwire in the car.

Received delivery of my X50 and accessory stuff. I can tell you right now...I would PASS on that accessory pouch that holds two detectors on the sun visor. For one thing, you can't really operate a detector from inside the pouch. All the controls would be covered up by the flap. If you don't use the flap, you could end up with the detector on your lap. The opening on the one pouch that is made to use the detector while driving is pretty small and covers up part of the front of the X50. It covers ALL the laser detector on top. I guess if laser isn't a concern in your area, no big deal. This pouch BARELY fit the X50. No idea why they didn't make it with some elastic sides. Forgetabout a Valentine 1 or any other larger detector fitting in it. Best thing this could be used for is carrying a detector and it's cord and accessories. But definitely not USING it from inside the pouch.
I am uneasy about carrying the detector on the visor, unless that pouch gizmo is placed on the UPPER side of the visor where it can't really be seen with the visor flipped up.

The Accessory Kit is different story. It came with everything listed and is a nifty way to carry the detector if you have room in your glove compartment or console, plus it gives you a bunch of spare items too.
