Muted by itself?

I was pressing the top 2 buttons trying to make it brighter and for Highway mode, so I could see the Expert display (it was in dark mode set on Auto). A Ka signal was detected while I was playing with the settings. I noticed "Ka" with a bar that went up and down, but there was no audible alert. The volume was definitely set high enough and I did not press the MUTE button. On the highway mode, it wouldn't have filtered out any potential false signals especially on a FULL Ka bar in the expert mode.

Was this a software bug (Version 6.1)? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

About 1-1.5 miles up the road was a state trooper that pulled someone over. I have no idea if this trooper was running Ka, but he definitely did not leave it on during the stop.

If it is acting up, do a system reset.

This is the first time I have experienced this type of "glitch". I am unsure why it even did this in the first place.

Have you checked to see if auto-mute was engaged?

automote was turned on, but it has to report the signal first before eventually muting itself. I heard nothing, but saw the Ka in the expert mode display.
