My conversation with Support regarding 9500i

What im worried about is that my X50's not always reported several bogey's when my v1 has. That is what has me worried, bc if a officer is sitting at a false location that you locked out and it does not properly register that there is indeed another radar source, you are toast!!!!!!!!!!

If this is the case then one should be VERY carefull on what they lock out

I guess it than comes down to the accuracy of the GPS. Wouldn't it be better just to go right in front of a pharmacy/false and lockout? Though time consuming, that assures no leo would be shooting from a walgreen or something.

Not nessearly that. Its just that my X50 internally havent registered 2 threats of the same band always in several occasions, unlike my v1.

I really like the ideas incorporated in this 9500i but i for once am going to sit on the "move" and let someone else risk their money on the switch and wait till i see some proven results. NOT TO MENTION THAT I SEE SOFTWARE UPGRADES NEEDED in the near future. Personally i believe its going to take all the way till the summer to work out all the tweaks and bugs. :!: :idea: :roll:

TrueLock Feature: My experience with the TrueLock feature in locking out false alarm locations is that the radius of the area that is marked as a false alert location is very small.
Even if an officer was running radar on the same exact radar frequency as the device that was marked as a false alert location, I would suspect that the strength of the officers gun would give ample warning outside the radius of the marked location.

not saying that he is wrong, but i know that sometimes my x50's did not register 2 sources on the same band. Thats what has me worried. :?

The V1 has been prone to ghosting issues though... There may or may not have been 2 different signals. :wink:

I know that ES13Raven, I have seen an officer hiding behind a local bank shooting radar and my x50 was only reporting one source. I grabbed my v1 from the glove box and turned the x50 off. My v1 registered both sources. this has happend several times. i know that the V1 does tend to ghost but i am sure it was right on thses occasions.

I did a test on this with my improvised K band auto door sensor and an MPH K band radar. The X50 only shows 1 bogey with multiple auto door openers most of the time(very seldom does it show 2 bogeys with auto door openers) and it does not work like the V1's bogey counter. I can tell you for the most part that the X50 is more accurate than the V1 as far as multiple bogey information with regards to auto door openers and true police K band radars. The X50 will give you 2 bars or bogeys when you are in a known auto door opener range with a true police radar source. In the case of the V1, it will show you 3-4 bogeys in the same area - grocery stores.. As far as my test went, both the X50 and V1 reported 2 bogeys.

The V1's bogey counter and the X50's is not 100% accurate. Example. You get 2 bogeys with Ka band when used against the kustom golden eagle with the X50 and 2 bogeys with the stalkers with the V1.

As far as answering your concern, Tthe X50 does not have a problem with it picking up 2 bogeys. No worries here.

I LOVE the way the X50 is able to track 4 x's 2 K's and 2 Ka's. I wish the 9500i would double that amount for each band. :cry: :cry:

Hmmm does anyone have a K-band radar gun to test this? I really would like to make sure that what escort saying accually happens before i think about trying this detector out
