Not to defend nascar here. The 9500i has evolutionized how a radar detector woks. Other companies want performance with their products and others make one with good balance as far as detecting alerts and filtering unwanted alerts. As seen on every radar detector, there is always some ups and downs , strength's and weaknessess, price factor and most importantly an
individuals preference.
Debating someone here will not even help you or the other guy and as a matter of fact to others as well. A good source for performance testing is GOL's yearly test for comparing top radar detectors. That said, let everyone enjoy the benefits of discussion and others opinion without getting into an agruement or debate because we all will learn from it. I do have a V1 and X50 that i currently used and have tried the 9500i that's borrowed for about 2 weeks to see if it really works as advertized and from my initial review, it worked as advertized. Performance wise, i'll leave it up to GOL's march test.
The top 4 radar detector's are sufficient enough to own as far as performance goes and i'm very comfortable using any of those top 4.
