    Default Dark Mode idea

Don't know if it could be possible to do this, but I personally think it's a good idea.

Almost all the time I run my X50 in min brightness. I would like to run my X50 in dark mode, but if I were to do so, it would be pointless to run Spec mode.

So I was thinking, could it be possible to somehow have the X50 run in all dark mode, then when it recieves and alert, the screen turns on to w/e brightness (preferably min for night time.) That way you could rather "stealthy" at night, but still be able to run it in Spec mode(which I run to distinguish real Ka threats.)

You could have it in the mode that just puts the A C or H up in the left had corner, and put it in min brightness. That would be almost what you want, and it would be nearly impossible to see from outside your car.

This is the way I run my X50 and it works great.......

My reasoning for doing this is either a LEO following behind or
someone trying to follow me because they see my detector
and want me to lead the way.

    Here's what I would like:
Be able to run in dark or minimum brightness and then when an alert comes through, have it be full brightness. The reason this would be nice is that I listen to music loud and have my RD visor mounted. So, it would be nice to get both the audio alert AND have the flash of the new brightness.

That's one reason why the Smart Cord is so handy. The detector can be in all dark, yet the Smart Cord will blink when an alert occurs.

But I like the spec mode :? Also, my lighter is on the other side of my center consel, facing the passenger.

I don't know, guess it's just my pursuit of trying to be as stealthy as possible.
