Default Sat Radio fixed on 9500i yet?

Anyone received a factory fresh 9500i yet, that works with xm or sirius?

I know you can re-send them back in but to me that's unacceptable.

Also any of the newer units, have the ramp up fixed yet?

But your XM is built into the factory installed radio like mine. So the issues are for those that have an after market XM/Sirius radio and antenna near their 9500i.

i can verify the satellite interference is related to the satellite antenna and it's proximity to the 9500.

i have 3 cars with Sirius installed. two of the cars have the sirius antenna mounted on the rear of the car (1 roof and 1 trunk lid). both cars with the sirius antenna mounted on the rear worked with the 9500 mounted on the windsheild.

the car that had the conflict has the sirius antenna mounted dead center on the dash between the defrost vents. the 9500 was mounted high on the windsheild. the antenna and the 9500 were less than 15" apart, this is the ONLY car that had a conflict.

I explained this to escort CS but they still wanted me to return the 9500 to permanently solve the conflict. i returned the 9500 to escort and their fix did solve the conflict.

so if you have a conflict and can move your satellite antenna further away, it might solve the problem.

You can see my XM mounted on the dash in the car.

The 9500i is above that (not in pic)

    steeda,

obviously you have a R32 with a lidatek LE30 laser jammer and the passport hardwired. Your XM shows "No Signal" is this because your 9500 is blocking the signal or does your 9500 work AND your XM work? i am confused by your post.

if your 9500 is off your XM should work, if 9500 is on XM might have a conflict.

and yes, i am a long term vortex'er. i built a couple of MK4's, one was very special.
