Default So, what is the verdict on true lock?

My girlfriend wants a 9500i, and I am worried about the testing results from some of the members here. Is there a clear verdict in regards to true lock blocking LEO signals in previously locked areas?

I would wait a lil while for purchasing the 9500i. I too want to get one to try it out but after seeing this video, it only back up my fear that i stated before it came out. My x50 sometimes changed freq's on the same speed sign, so i was weary of this true-lock to.

That video is enough to convince me, that folks with a 9500i should not be using true lock, and folks buying a 9500i for that feature, should wait.

Simply put, any false you lockout, seems to create an area of vunerablility to a legit radar signal, in the same band.

That's a feature I can do without.

x3. and its a shame I want this thing to work as advertised. I'll change back over from the V1 in a heart beat if they get, truelock fixed. mark location fixed, sat radio fixed, and ramp up fixed.

until then I can't recommend it.

Did anyone actually send theirs in for this problem and see if it got fixed, or did everyone just return it before the 30 days were up?

i knew from the start that truelock wouldnt fly....then my skepticism was confirmed by the members who bought it and by the numerous tests conducted.

I'd wait. If it was for you then I'd say try it and see what you think. You have 30 days to decide.

I'm guessing the V1 is not being considered?

I'd take a look at the BELTRONICS VECTOR 955.

    Nice price and nice protection.

I don't know if truelock ever will be fully perfected.

I dont understand why the 9500i didnt realize that there were two signals when there should have been one in that video. Even if the frequency reading is inconsistent, it should stil be able to tell if there was one band or two.

this is otally in line with what i was discovering with mine. did you happen to notice the range on it - not good at all. even with the lockout removed it still had short range and terrible ramp up. i often referred to it as my "ex" - as in girlfriend - she too was "narrow minded" and had "tunnel vision". great job on the video GOL.
