He told me it would be thoroughly checked and retuned and anything not up to specs would be replaced. I told him I would like the x50, but I think the 8500 retuned would be fine. Here is the part that was interesting. He told me the 8500 came out in 1999 and the x50 in 2004 and there was NO performance difference in the two and if it was his he would spend the $80 and keep the 8500. I thought I had read on here the 8500 was just as good. I have had both and I have always thought they were pretty close in performance but I remember all the advertisements for the x50 being so much better and improved performance. Oh well, I am sending it in and we will see what comes back. The next GOL test I would like to include my 8500 to test against the others to see where it ends up.
