crap, well i just read in the regional portion of this forum that CA is gonna convert to laser in a year or so... they said that CHP and sheriff both use Ka and K, no X or POP in Cali. so if i buy a unit now it'll be useless by no time... bummer

the X50 and the 9500 both have laser alerts. As does the V1 and any new radar detector for that matter.
The problem with laser is that most times once you get the signal, that means he's already got your speed. The best thing to combat that is a combo of a laser jammer and Veil.
