Here are some pictures of my X50 hardwired in my Mustang.

    Center view:

    Mute box/alert light mounted:

(I mounted it here mainly to get the red flashing light in my constant vision. My music is sometimes so loud that I can barely hear loud tones, so having it here was perfect for me. I think it turned out clean. What do you think?)

^^^ put those links between [img] brackets as opposed to [url] brackets and that'll put up the images here, you can still edit it if you want I think

to me the box location is strange, I mean if it works I guess its OK, but you cant reach it can you???? sure you can just probably tap the RD itself, but still, its just odd to me

No, I can't reach it. I just really, really needed it in my line of sight.

I have thought about making a mute button and custom mounting it in one of my change holders beside the e-brake. Do you know if it's possible to use two of the mute button boxes, and if so, how?

Not exactly hardwired, but I have rigged up a cigarette lighter on the top of my visor and the coiled cord is wrapped around the mirror 8)

Whoa dude, what's up with your rear view mirror? Let me guess...you'd rather have the detector centered and level than a clear rear view?
