Default I needed a cheap detector for my bike. . .

    . . . so I snagged an X50 for a hundred bucks

Saw an ad on craigslist for "escort 8-band radar detector" and gave the guy a call. It had been on there awhile but I figured I'd at lease ask. Turns out it was a blue 8500 x50. He was asking a little more, but I made him the offer of a hundred even and he took it.

It works great. . . makes me think of my old bel. I'm a V1 guy but I think the blue is converting me.

Probably one of the best banjamins I've spent in awhile. 8)

Great buy. Pray to the RD gods that it doesn't pull the service required card on ya.

That is why I have never purchased an RD used. I am too afraid that the seller is selling solely because it pulled the service required card.

Nice find. Did he sell it cheap because it was only "8-band?"
