    Default Sent in X50 for service

    I wanted to comment on the ESCORT CSD because i saw a couple of negative comments about them.
    From my experience they were very helpful and when i explained the problem, they where more than happy to give me a service number.

    The problem with it was that it started giving false alerts and locking up.

    When i called them back a week later, without a service number ( i forgot it ops: ) they found it for me and even gave me the status.


    Unfortunately the status was that it's with a technician for 2 weeks!
    The dunkin' donuts patrol put up some speed signs by my house that i want to try out my range on... now im stuck with no detector.

    2 week backup is way unacceptable I think. Are there that many for the techs to work on :shock:

    I bet they are backed up with 9500i's to upgrade to the newest software! Unfortunate part about new software/features is that they generally are buggy/not perfect at first.

    That's the (not so)wonderful part about developing software. You can have it work perfectly in all the lab computers/devices but once you distribute it mainstream the wonderful realm of bugs and other issues arise!

    Anyhow, 2 weeks is a bit much.

    where did you hear there was a new software update?

    hopefully they mean 2 weeks in total. keep us updated.

    Well, that was actually after my second try - my first attempt to obtain out-of-warranty service for my ZR3 returned with a quite bad result, actually. That particular CS rep (male) was completely rude, and totally without any idea of what he was talking about.

    My second call was handled by a female rep, who was both competent and professional. The call was directed to the proper service technician, and he was also in turn the same. When the call was returned to the same female CS rep to finalize and input my service order, that was also done efficiently and quickly.

    I think it's really a toss-up.

    Hey TSI, was the guy named Dan? He is by far the worst CS rep their. If I get him on the phone, I will call back and talk to anyone else.

    ^ Not sure - it was quite some time ago, and I don't remember what his name was from when he first picked up the line.

    I'll make a note of it, though, in case I ever need to call in again!
