    Default what mode for x50

What mode should I keep it in, city, auto, or highway? I have been keeping it in auto, but I don't know the diffrence between auto and highway.

If you live in an area that doesnt shoot x band just turn it off and keep it in highway mode all the time. Thats what I do. Highway maximises sensitivity in all bands while city reduces sensitivity I think.

Well North Carolina uses x band here and there so I cant turn it off. Does the auto mode limit sensitivity at all? I thought city mode only limited it if you changed it in the programing. Maybe somone else will chime in here that knows for sure.

I cant remember without looking at my manual but im pretty sure if you look in the manual it tells you the difference between the modes.

I live in Charlotte, NC and I will agree X band is used here
so turning it off would be a huge mistake. The NCSHP
love X band along with " Instant On " KA 35.5

I personally run my X50 in
    City / LoX (Expert Mode)

I believe this setting is set well enough to filter out
False X band signals while still giving the threshold
    strength of a real Threat.

I myself do not trust Auto Mode. I'd highly recommend
you don't use it. In my opinion it suppresses the threat
to the last minute and then BAM it goes off like " Instant On "
but the signal was constant. I made a few runs at the Leo
to determine this. The best way I can show this is from this
you tube video. This is what I'm talking about. The Speed
Trailer is a Constant On Source.

Here is the Skinny on the different modes.

City: Will only Filter X band ( No other bands are Filtered. )
Highway: Full Reception ( No Filtering )
Auto: Responds by shifting to the CITY sensitivity.
This reduces the X band sensitivity only.
When you leave the area, the Auto mode responds by
    increasing X-band sensitivity

It has been my experience that Auto mode stunts sensitivity tremendously.

Since the Ohio State Bears use X-band, I unfortunately cannot take advantage of using "HWY" mode, exclusively with X-band turned "off."

As such, in order to minimize the tremendous amount of falsing I get on my daily commute and errands (since I commute on local surface streets, through typically very dense zones of non-LEO/"false" signals), I also use, as with brother Orbital, the "CITY/LoX" mode.

I think I will just stick with highway for where I drive. Not to much false x, but I have been in places where it was worse and in that case I might put in on city mode.
