Road trip to Rochester, NY this weekend

My family and I took a road trip this Sunday to Rochester, NY for sightseeing. Relatively uneventful, with the exception of a few hits I got:

Before exit 48, I was lasered twice - once in a hiding spot, the other right at the entrance to the Scottsdale rest area (he was using an old Marksman 20-20).

Once I reached Rochester, I started receiving a K-band signal from a Monroe County sherriff's patrol car. He already had company... picked it up from a pretty good distance, around a curve!!!

On the way home, I got a Ka hit from a mobile State Trooper moving eastbound.

There it is...again, relatively uneventful for me.

I live in Rochester & use a V1.

I have been hit with a laser on route 96 near Victor & constant on Ka also on 96 in the last week.

I live in rochester Ny too. ( greece) i hae a blue x50. i turn off x and pop and run highway mode. but so far its works really good around here. except for state tropper hawkins who sits with his LTI marksaman right before the ridge road exit. my detector picked him up well , but as you know with laser it was already to late... i need veil or somthing. lol

but yea i see no reason to run scanning dot or exp mode. i mean shoudl i run both of them? the scanning dot just looks pretty right? nothing with performance. and well i guess i can see how exp mode could help picking up multiple signals at once

The scanning dot or any of the other pilot display options have no affect on the range or performance of your RD. Expert mode can be very handy. Try it out!
