excellent info.... Grambo246 Top Notch! 8)

I would rather know NYS has this stuff than find it out later..

Btw...One more thing did you find the number of Bee III units purchased there? I can't find numbers of purchased units for any of them... :?

Now all we have to find out is what NYS troop stations aquired these units and we will be all set! 8)

I have no idea how to do this thou.."A little help please" ......?

nothin yet....still runnin the good ole 20/20 vision

im pretty sure everything that is listed counts as one unit unless there is a qunity number next to it (this is the way most of these documents work) so no quanity number, means just 1. As for finding out where there being distributed to....im not sure we can find that out, being tax payers we are entitled to look at records on state purchases to see where our money is going, but as for trackin those monsters down.....they dont really have to disclose that in public record so idk how we could find out, i might call the ogs and pretend to be a student doing a term paper and see if i can get that info out of her.....but will see if that works

if it dosnt when i get back to school i'll walk over to trooper headquaters and see what i can find, i'll see what records i can get my hands on, and if nothin comes up i'll just ask around, im sure they'll tell me all about em, who dosnt love to show off there new fancy new toys?

Great job digging up that info!

Driving without any protection is no fun, but then again breaking your budget isn't fun either. I'd say keep on saving for a little while longer and get a Vector995 since it's very similar to the proven RX65. By most accounts it lacks a bit in the filtering department but range should be excellent. Or just keep on saving until you can get an X50 if you want it all. When you're out of school and making good money you'll be able to get one of everything 8) .

ya im seriously considering the 995, but than i figured if im gonna spend 270 what the hell im already gonna be broke so whats 30 more for a red x50. but im still kinda stuck on the whistlers, 140 is very apealing (60 extra bucks vs -100), but everything i read says pretty much if its not a big three its trash. I just need somethin that will alert me with enough time to slow down....i dont need to know that theres a cop with radar 300 miles ahead on the highway and listen to a radar detctor scream the whole 300. but when im not on the highway i mostly do twisty hilly country back road driving......so im thinking sensitvity might be a big deal for me

Check out the sensitivity levels on the SML tests on Roy's site for the Bel 895. Not a lot of information out there on this unit, but it had great numbers on the test and is under $200. Does anyone know anything about the 895? Will Roy carry it?

This is good advice. I'd say save a bit more and get the 995. NY Troopers are pretty nasty, I've made many trips in NY traveling the Thur-Way and they use a lot of KA and POP from what I've heard and seen.

I'd say stick with one of the top 3 or get the Vector 995 since its basically an RX65, you'll need the extra KA band detection these detectors give over the cheapies. I've never seen an NY officer use laser though.
