Default My Rev. 5 is on steroids!

I had two Rev.5 X50s, one of which I just got rid of. I kep the one I felt was the better detector. It always alerted a little earlier and stringer on falses, noticeably, despite it being a few years old.

The wife and I decided to travel to the West coast of FL yesterday, from Palm Beach, and the road is 1 lane, both ways through just about nothing but a couple of small towns. I know it's a haven for speed traps though.

X50 rev5 mounted center windshield (leveled) gave me 5.1 miles from the first Ka alert to the LEO. It gave me about 3.2 miles from the first alert that continued to the LEO. The 5.1 mile warning was a single alert, followed by two more before the continuous alerts started.

Granted we were on as flat, as straight, and isolated a road as one could find, this performance is still fantastic.

The most I've ever gotten was 2 miles oncoming IO K band, so I figure 3-4 miles total. Actually, this happened a couple days ago. Must have been one of the "good days."

    Oh yea, I have a 6.1. 8)

I bought mine about 3-4 months ago, what revision do you think it is? I don't know where I can find my revision for my X50. But I detected mine a mile away on K Band on a hilly road.

As apart of the anti-dopping administration I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to send your x50 to me. we will have to replace this one with a regular x50

Holding the three buttons (mode, brightness, mute) while turning it on should do the trick.

The only bad thing about this one is that the volume is really low. The other X50s, and even the 8500s are WAYYY louder. I'd be afraid to send it to Escort because it's surely come back less sensitive.
