For those that may be interested, the 9500i is available with a blue display. I saw the ad for it in Autoweek. BTW it costs $50 more for the blue display. Blue LEDs are more expensive BTW.

so now i can spend half a grand for cooler features.
I've thought for awhile now that there's an advantage to having a choice other than red. LEOs and hangers-on recognize the red lights as a RD much more quickly. It would also be nice to have choices to coordinate colors with your other interior lighting. Maybe green, or even white. Or perhaps different colors for different bands.
WOW must get one![]()

buyradardetectors rocks!
I'm waiting for Roy to get this on his site to buy - decided the blue would be better for the car, and less likely to attract attention.
Can't wait!
Completely agree, I will be ordering one next week.LEOs and hangers-on recognize the red lights as a RD much more quickly.![]()
Roy indicated in PM that he thought the blue display would come out around March? I'm guessing he means on his site?
The Escort site is a preorder "for November shipping" which isn't very specific since, well, it's already November...
If it's going to be till March for dealers like Roy, maybe I'll just go ahead and order the reds.. meh! A thousand bucks buying straight through escort's site is a lot, when it would be substantially cheaper (for me) to buy through Roy's site.
$500!
Wow, $500, it’s almost free!![]()
Im going to see if my distributor can get me one. I hope so.
{EDIT} My distributor confirmed shipping for blue is December.
