    Default lots of KA falses w/ my x50

    i have noticed one thing with my x50 is that there is a lot of KA falses.. man they scare the crap out of me when it goes off when i'm on the highway, does anyone else notice KA falses with their x50's?

    yea.. all cheap leaky RDs that cause this. Cobras especially. They come fairly rare to me. Make sure POP OFF to lessen the likelyhood.

    I always use to think mine was broken when it did that. But, when I found that cheap RDs would leak radar, I would look around and see what was around me. more often enough there would be a cobra. bout the only thing cobra is famous for is for leaking.

    My SRX does not get hardly any false Ka hits. Is this because the SRX(8500) is not pop capable? If so, is that the main difference between the X50 and the original 8500? The original 8500 seems to get slightly better dtection range for 34.7 Ka from all the tests that I have read, which is my most common threat.

    Probably a combination of POP capability and also retuned filtering against short burst radar, probably after testers like us have complained about some units suffering from deafness to quick-triggering.
