    what is ramp?
The audio alert that should mimic the signal strength bar graph. The X50's audio alert exactly matches the signal strength meter so without looking at the RD, you should know what the strength of the signal is.

bad thing about spec is that you cannot detect multiple radars and there's no visual display that tells you the proximity of the source...
The X50 can only track up to 2 Ka sources so expert mode on the Cali freeways is not that useful, unless you immediately speed up after passing a speed trap. CHP uses nothing but Stalker 34.7 so there are no K or X to worry about on the freeway. The visual display is not necessary since the ramp up on the X50 is perfect.
Just a side note and caution theguysaid038. When there are 2 radar sources in expert mode of different frequencies, it will show 2 bogeys. But if there are 2 radar sources with the same frequencies or close to each other, it will only show one bogey and this applies to using 2 stalker units in the same area.

I wonder how far off they have to be from each other? I've seen frequencies as low a 34.651 to 34.738.

There is no X or pop in Cali so you can turn them both off. CHP uses only Ka Stalkers and Laser. Locals use K, Laser, and both 34.7 and 35.5 Ka. I have never seen 33.8 Ka.

Can can safely say with the experience of having 2 stalker speed signs at 34.697 and 34.728, it only showed 1 bogey.
