Not all items on ebay are stolen, with that siad, as long as you dont tell, and Escort does not have a record of it stolen, no need to worry.

Poeple have said they recieved the RD as a gift and no questions asked.

You'll be covered since you'll have a record of who you bought it from that you can easily use in court. You'll lose the detector but the court will charge the person you bought it from off eBay for the theft, it will then be up to them to prove where they got it from and the court will make them give you your money back.

Did they tell you this thing was so screwed up when you bid on it? If not I'd strongly dispute that auction. If you used PayPal to pay for it you'll even have a chance of getting somewhere with the dispute.

You do a hell of a job supporting your claim there, what kind of retarded response is that? Let me help you out, typically when someone says something you disagree with and you attempt to call them on it, it's followed by some more detailed reasoning as to why. I didn't realize you carried the reputation of being such a reliable source that all we needed was for you to tell us something and that was that, but please, feel free to encourage someone else getting their window smashed out and detector stolen.

lol, i put the smiley face there, no need to get all worked out; chill out. i was going to add to my post and then i forget not being a frequent visitor to this forum (got tied up elsewhere). sorry didn't mean to offend you, it's not that big of a deal. you're not lying about anything.

i still don't see why you think i should "encourage" crime and theft, where did that come from? doesn't make sense. and i'm not sure about this reputation you're talking about either. lol

anyway. here's what i should have said:

if you feel you have purchased stolen goods from ebay or anywhere, you should contact the police or ebay. they work with law enforcement to help resolve these issues. the police will arrest anyone they catch committing a crime. if you used paypal or a credit card, i would suggest contacting them as well. they may be able to assist you financially. that's my advice.
