    what's a "TONE of saves?"
agreed. I've been impressed with both my X50 and 9500i 's detection. My X50 I had longer so I saw some incredible warnings ahead of time around curves and hills that I NEVER would've thought it could pick up. The X50s ramp up was better as well.

That being the case, I still have a lot of faith in ESCORT products. I'm hoping with time, I feel the 9500i was an improvement from my blue X50 or I'll say I don't think its worth the extra dough.

    We'll see.

We have both the 9500i and the V1 I prefer the V1 the 9500i is in my wifes Rav4.
If you are truly concerned about rear detection the 9500i does not offer the sensitivity and range the V1 gives from the rear antenna.
If you are truly concerned about rear detection you need to get a V1.
Turn off X band (if applicable in your area) you have a very quiet detector with exceptional range and sensitivity both forward and rear.

About the only way to truly go for rear detection with decent range of detection.
You will eventually go with the V1 based on reading your posts at $395.00 it is a steal for the performance of a RD.

    I like the photoshop skills.
That is the only thing I hate about my 9500i. You cant tell if threats are still threats because it takes so long for the rd to stop making noise!
