Ok I bought my 9500i exactly 14 days ago... My return deadline is 14 days ago....
Simple question, should I return it and order the 9500ix?
Is the added features worth the hassle?

Return it and buy a V1.
Valentine Research gives you 30 days to try their detector.![]()
I have bought from best buy in the past. You must say its defective are they will charge you a 20% restocking fee. It would not be a lie if you tell them it overheats sometimes. I had a lot of trouble with the summer heat with mine. They can not test for that. I would return it and order the 9500ix. Especially if you have red light cameras!

Well it does infact have a high pitched sound during voice alerts. I called Escort and they said yes, if you have good hearing you can hear the high pitched sound. Its in the voice recording itself. So yes it is a defect, just one I guess every 9500i has.
What sucks is I would be without a radar till the 9500ix comes. This is bad because I just bought a BMW 128i and I know its going to be somewhat of a target.
Then that's what you should of said, just seems like you were trolling and I didn't care for this thread to be turned into my V1 radar is better than the 9500i. Too many other threads comparing the two.
I really am torn on this issue and don't know if its worth the return.
Also crossed my mind to return, go back tomorrow and buy another 9500i to return in another 14 days so I'm without a radar. Also looked into renting a 9500i but at $60 a week and l like $6 each additional day. It just isn't worth it.
Well looks as if I'm keeping it. The blue wouldn't of went well in my vehicle anyways. Everything else is a orange/redish color.
