Install is tomorrow at noon. IMO my guy is one of the best in KY, so I can't wait. He's estimating 3 to 4 hours.

I'll take some high res snaps of everything this afternoon before I get it installed.

The V1 seems totally unaffected by the 9500ci as we would expect.

When I tested my V1 with the 9500i at the same time, I had pop enabled on the V1 and it was picking up the 9500i nonstop.
As soon as I took pop off it stopped.

I didnt notice anthing else driving around with both on, just the fact that the V1 is about 5 seconds faster than the 9500i on the average.

That is completely different though, running the V1 and 9500ci together (like djrams), and the V1 and the 9500i like you did.


The 9500ci is a Spectre-undetectable (Invisible detector) well the 9500i is not...

So it makes sense that his Ci wasn't doing much to the V1, well the V1 was spewing junk signals that his Ci might be picking up (Though many people have run remote-mount and dash-mount combos together with great success)... so its odd that DJrams is having this problem especially because the V1 though not Spectre immune spews very little (compared to most RD's) Junk for anything to pick up.

In your case, the V1 was picking up the non-spectre immune RD, which puts out much more junk signal... henceforth causing the non-stop Ka alerts with POP on. By turning POP on the V1 off, the V1 (and probably the 9500i for that matter) were both still being impacted (negatively), you just couldn't see it.


You cannot try to run two dash-mounts at the same time, and expect to get accurate and truthful results from either unit. I bet they were both interfering with one another, and the 5 seconds you saw on the V1 had nothing to do with it having more sensitivity... 2 Dash-mounts ran together can even cause one (or both) detector(s) to completely miss a signal.

*sigh. I took about 70 pics today to show what's it like to unbox the CI and pics of each component and what do you know my battery has died, and I can't find the GD charger. So while it's getting installed tomorrow I'll shop around and see if I can't find a new one
