not really but if you want and you bought from an authorized dealer...Contact dealer and/or Escort and talk to them

It doesn't seem we know definitively what the differences are between REV3 and REV5, although some said better KA band performance.

When I called Escort I was first asked if I had a receipt from Escort or an authorized dealer. Then they told me the upgrade is $49.95 plus shipping and it was a technical upgrade with no change in performance. To be honest they really did not answer any question with direct answers and they would not let me speak to a tech saying there was not one available to come to the phone. I could not get an answer on the differences between the revisions except they said it was nothing performance related. I got it back and sold it shortly afterward, but I have heard some people say they think they get better KA performance, but who really knows for sure.

Don't spend the money on the "upgrade." I have a rev. 3 and it's an awesome detector. Your money would be better spent buying a laser shield for your license plate or save up more money for Veil.
