There are so many variables involved it's hard to say. Anywhere from 1/10th of a mile to 2 miles. You've seen the tests where they have gotten as much as 10 miles? I never did but I guess it's possible?
x2
This is what I found with all 3 of my 9500I's:
~1/4mi or more on windy roads with tree coverage and ~2mi on highways. There have been reports of 7+ miles but that’s in places like Kansas.
I have even had less than 1/4mi alerts that were more than sufficient because of the location/terrain.
By the way POP is useless, especially for testing range. X, K & KA is what you should be testing depending on area.

Well, it seems like I picked up a K-band last night over a half a mile. I'm not exactly sure how much, though. It was on a straight stretch of highway in the city, and I saw the cop drive past me. I guess that's not too good for my 9500i.![]()
The only reason for it to be like that is the windshield. I had the exact same problem in my denali. Half a mile only. I thought it was just the tint strip but come to find it out it was the entire windshield
Yeah you have a 9500 always keep it on highway.
I'm not sure if its the windshield but from a personal experience with it, very very possible. Because i thought it was okay that i was only getting .5 mile warnings until i got a new car and now i've gotten a 5 mile warning. (usually at least a mile. I got 35.5 ka from 1.7 miles and it was off axis!)
