9500i Vs V1 on Ka band

Just a randome guess, or wishful thinking. But Turning on KU would imply is being used somplace like Australia where KU actually may be used and different KA bands are used too.
Give it a try, who knows.

My 9500I rocks on 34.7.

What car do you have? Maybe its one of those special windshields?

I have Range Sport and also Honda Jazz 2007

you believe if i put that 9500 in top it wont detect good neither ka band or k band

when i put it a little higher than dashboard it detect much better

also i have seen delonixradar.com in their test putting it same as i put it

by the way i do believe delnoixradar.com saying all truth and right

i am facing same issues , but they advice to use their vertical mount , its ok for KA it imporve it a bit , but with K band it will be really sucks

You may need to get the STi-R then since it can cover that frequency. Check my previous post for some other threads related to your issue.

no no dont missunderstand me , i was looking for either V1 or STi-r then i decided

for v1 and specially after i found delonixradar.com , i saw they mount the 9500 as i do and alot of things we have in common

and they vote for v1 , so i do believed that v1 will be the best choise , but anyone
its in custom no point

Here would be my order of preference for detecting these cameras:

1. Bel STi-R $1100 US

2. V1 $400 US

3. 9500i $450 US

I think that the Bel STi-R is by far your best choice here, but the STi-R is very expensive. Since there is no guarantee that it will make it through customs, that's quite a hefty risk.

The 9500i has poor detection of 34.3 Multanova 6F - around that of the Cobra 9930. Even mounted vertically the 9500i is not good enough.

The 9500ci (also) doesn't have Ka-band selection like the STi-R does, and the range on Multanova is 100-200m at best.

The best range I have seen is from the STi-R mounted vertically, followed by the V1

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard from various hobbyists both here and elsewhere that the Escort products are not necessarily well-suited for outside-North America use, and that the Bel subsidiary is, in-part, specifically tasked to cover such markets (hence the earlier release of the STi-R in other markets).

Any idea of truth to this?
