Should be a good detector. Mine is rev. 6.3 build date 4207. The best detector I've had. Really like the blue display.

The build date is the last four digits of the serial number on the bottom of the unit. The first two are the week and the last two are the year.

A rev. 5 in working order is a true thing of beauty. You have one of the best detectors ever in regards to ramp-up... and it does top-notch in the detection department too.

I also just picked up a x50 blue rev.5 my question is sometimes it locks and stops scanning and says city nox...which is weird because I have it in highway mode.....I bought the unit for my g/f and would be mad to return it because I've heard the same thing that rev 5 are like a true gem....

If I send it to escort that automatically upgrade my software or just fix the issue ?

It's a great detector. 59.00 or 69.00 to send it in and they will just fix whats wrong. Once a Rev 5 always a Rev 5.
