    Default Using Truelock

Heres how I use it. Tell me if I am using it wrong.

I never lockout an area that gives off a strong K alert, I never lockout an area that I might speed frequently through. I never drive up to a location and lock it out. The only time I use truelock is when it is a weak K band signal in an area that I probably wont be speeding thru. That way there is no chance of me getting a ticket because of truelock. Basically I use it wisely and make sure to think before I press the mute button 3 times.

Thats exactly how I use Truelock as well. I will admit that I have locked out two full blast K band drones on I-575 north of Atlanta, but I know exactly where those two drones are located and I don't speed through those two areas.

    ^ Emphasis added.

I think that's going to be key.

I'm quite a bit more aggressive, in terms of TrueLock usage, in my high-density K-band falsing area, simply due to the fact that my purchase of the 9500i was specifically to make my everyday commute quieter.

Since I simply never speed through such locked areas, I haven't had to worry.

I think you'll be fine, Mustang.

Just be sure that when you do decide to speed through those areas, for whatever reason, that you pop the button to turn the GPS-based features "off" on the detector, and switch over to "Highway" mode to best-up your odds of detection.

X2. very smart usage of TrueLock Mustang. And like TSi-WRX said, if you do decide to speed in those areas there is an off button for the GPS filter for a reason.

Looks like you read my sticky and completely understood it. Thank you.
