focalcivic: The coupon states under car electronics that GPS units are covered and the 9500ix technically qualifies as a GPS unit! I have not purchased one yet.
I noticed that Circuit City is getting ready to stock the GX65 and already has it listed at 10% off(price was around $ 422.99 if I remember correctly) I have not decided if I need AutoLearn. I could always send in my Blue 9500i and have it upgraded but I tend to collect electronics and like to have different models just for fun. I have an older V1 3.812 and would buy a new one instead of upgrading the old one.

The only thing anyone should even consider getting it on is the crappy Insignia and Dynex store brand electronics.
Im with you on the crappy Dynex stuff. However, insignia products are the guts of samsung and some other brand (toshiba?) repackaged as insignia. However, I would still get the plan depending on what you are buying.

Thanks for the coupon link. I purchased the 9500ix last night at BB with 10% off and no problems.

This is from bestbuy's web site

Escort - Passport 9500IX Radar/Laser Detector with GPS Technology 0109500-3

    $474.99

plus 10% off, and I got 10 dollars off on top of that for not being ready when I got there to pick it up.

It came to 418 plus tax,
not bad, I ll try out for 14 days to see what all the fuss is about this thing

They were idiots at the local best buy (not a surprise) they were trying to tell me that the coupon didnt cover RDs , arguing for 20 mins, and both managers agreed with them, so I told them to scan the coupon and they were like ohhh, I guess it does let you use it on RDs, such a bunch of morons..
Anyways the 40 dollar 2 year replacement warranty is just that, I had an x50 go bad 10 months in and they replaced it on the spot so its a replacement, well they had their moron techs look at it and they said oh yeah its broken, without even turning the damn thing on.
