Default Time to move from V1 to Passport 9500ix.

    Hi,
I have been using V1 for about 5 to 6 yrs, change new V1 every 2 yrs, the arrows and laser are the best but too annoying.
Last year I bought a 9500i, tried out for about 10 months (sold it), scare me out because no laser alert, but V1 did (mount side by side of rear view mirror at all time).
I just have new born, so V1 can not use due to noisy.
    Any suggestion are welcome,
    Have a nice day.

It sounds like your choice is made. Escort 9500i then add a zr4 to it.

Not usually one to give parenting advice but with my baby I used the more is less philosophy and maintained a noisy environment around her. Stereo, TV, talking so she learned to sleep through the noise. I found this meant I spent less time tip-toeing around the house. Also, if she started screaming in the car seat the noise from the stereo would drown her crying out. Assuming of course she was fed and changed.

The ix is a great detector and very quiet in regard to falses. Neither is going to give you a great chance against laser. If laser is a threat you need jammers, 9 out of 10 times the detector won't give you enough warning to react.

You should base your decision on how well the detector works against radar threats you encounter in your area, laser threats need a jammer.

Good advice on the noise level/kid thing.

Now, I worry if he would wake up if the damn house was on fire.

I like that advice. The ZR4 may not be the best performing jammer, especially for large vehicles, but it seems that nothing can touch it when alerting to laser. And the ZR4's protection is adequate for small to mid sized passenger cars.
