Just wondering what the general consensus is.
When you vacate your vehicle other than in your garage do you stash or remove your detector or leave in fixed to the windshield
remove
leave it

No, it's mounted high behind the tint. If I'm going to be gone from the car for more than a couple days I take it down.
I remove my 9500ix always, even when the car is in the garage. I keep mine in the black carrying case too.
It comes down regardless of how long im going to be out of the car, sometimes things happens when you least expect it and im not giving some punk a 9500ix for x-mas on me. I dont mind the hassle of removing a few times a day but i get to take my ix home with me every day.
It usually comes down, and always if its too hot or too cold outside, as extreme temps have been unfriendly to my RD in the past.
Seems like you'd get more response in General RD, but I dropped in my V1 vote anyways.![]()
i leave it in, Unless im going away in a dangerous area shopping or whatever its for long period..... its up high behind double layers of 5 percent tint on side and back windows and windshield the rd sees clear but hard to see it from outside then i set my clifford paging bad boy w all options blow your ears out and pages me long range just touching it , then i get my 44 magnum out of my pouch and start running for it.. Texas law you get to get your brains blown out for someone breaking in your car if you get caught
I leave mine mounted, it's up high and very hard to see. The alarm system is easy to see though, empty holster for the Glock left on the dash. Owner is armed and may be back any second!!!
