Default Auto Bright & Volume Questions-9500ix

I'm trying to figure out what to expect.

While in auto bright if I decide to reach up and override it by bumping it up what happens? Will it time out and go back to it's way of thinking or stay where I put it until I restart it?

    Same thing in Auto volume?

How do you guys rate these two features?

I think it stays where you last had it set. I never cared for the autobrightness, I just set it where I wanted it at the time, same for volume. I did not use automute either, the detector gets pretty quiet afet a few weeks of learning your routine so most alerts were real threats and I don't want those muted.

I really liked the Auto bright feature till i mounted it high and blocked the sensor. I wished it still worked. The last thing you set it to, it will stay there.

I Like the auto volume idea but it only works at moderate volumes in a very quiet car.

I just go full volume and full bright. Even full volume is not loud enough with the top down, IMO.
