KU Hit?

From what I have been reading, KU Band isn't used in the States.

The other day I got hit with KU for a brief moment. So was it a false?

I believe this was mentioned in another thread lately and they determined it was a satellite dish.

You know I wouldn't put it past LEOs to use ANY band nowadays given that X-band is still utilized in some areas but seriously is there a specific reason technologically or otherwise that KU is not used here yet?
