But if i was going to buy a RD and only looked at V1 & Escort i would guess 9 times out of 10 the unknowing person would buy an Escort.

Exactly. No one here, and I mean no one, tries to say that TrueLock is unbeatable. I can take just about any K band radar gun and create a scenario that beats TrueLock. Several members here have done exactly that.

My position is that, based upon real world success, because there are no known speeding citations due to TrueLock, the quietness of TrueLock is worth the very slight risk that comes with it.

Without RadarFraud in these discussions, this is how TrueLock is presented around here, with some slight variations due to forum members individual opinions and experiences. New members are almost always informed of this potential risk pretty quickly and are left to decide whether or not to go this route or not. No one tries to shove 9500s down anyone's throat. This approach shouldn't even be controversial. The problem is that RadarFraud always sidetracks reasonable thought and turns these things into an attention seeking, pissing match.
