My install actually runs much deeper. I will be snapping some pics and writing it all up soon so you can see some of the other 'trick' stuff I've done. What you've seen so far is just the simple stuff, the sensor mounting, which is pretty straight forward.

I stripped the car down to install this thing right. I had the entire nose off to get those sensors right. That nose is one big curve, so getting the lidar heads pointing perfectly straight ahead was a little tricky. I mounted them loosely and then snapped a string across their back edge. I aligned their back edge to the string, making them perfectly parallel and straight, and locked in their brackets:



As you can see, I also firmly mounted the radar head and neatly tied all of the wires to the factory harness.

Nice install - my SLK presented the same type of problems, and I ended up with it mounted in the lower air dam. Probably as much of a pain in the arse install, whole bumper cover had to come off.

awesome install. the only problem i see is that the zr4s wont be very effective against laser because of the color of the car. its silver right?

The awesome install is in a red Porsche. The silver Porsche's install is the one that's criticized here.
